What is a stainless steel flexible joint?
A stainless steel flexible joint (metal flexible connector, braided pump connector) consists of an annular corrugated stainless steel hose covered with one or more layers of stainless steel braid. Both ends are welded to flanges, threaded nipples, unions or clamp ferrules. It absorbs vibration from pumps and compressors, compensates misalignment during installation and protects pipes, valves and equipment from stress.
Types we manufacture
- Flanged flexible joints — DN25 to DN300, JIS 10K, BS PN16, ANSI 150 flanges, fixed or floating flange.
- Threaded & union flexible joints — DN15 to DN100.
- Sanitary clamp flexible joints for food, beverage and pharmaceutical lines.
How to specify
Please provide nominal size (DN), face-to-face length, flange standard or thread type, working pressure and temperature and the medium. For corrosive media or sea water we recommend 316 stainless steel.
